Export credit usage to CSV and ask Chief where it went

The organization usage page now hands you a full CSV of spend by day, project and kind, names Slack spend in the filter, and lets you put spend questions to Chief with one click.

Answering "where did our credits go last month?" used to mean reading the usage tables one axis at a time, and pulling a historical report meant asking us for a manual dump. The organization usage page now gives you the file and the answers directly.

Export CSV on the Explore tab

An Export CSV button sits next to the filter bar on the Explore tab. Clicking it downloads one file with a row per day, project and kind, carrying the project id and name, the kind's raw key and its label, charges, credits, and cost.

The file respects whatever you have the tab narrowed to: date range, project, kind, and user. A file narrowed to one person repeats that person on every row, so you can tell it apart from a whole-organization export later. Excel reads the file as UTF-8, so a project name with accents or non-Latin characters arrives intact.

Slack spend in the type filter

Spend that came from questions asked in Slack showed up badged with the bare lowercase word slack, and the type filter offered no way to isolate it or take it out. Slack is now a chip on that filter with a proper label, and rows driven by a Slack thread are named as such.

Usage questions for Chief

Five questions sit at the bottom of the organization usage page, already filled in with the range you are looking at: how spend changed against the previous period, who and which projects spent the most, where the credits went by activity, when you will run out at your current pace, and whether your plan fits your spend.

Clicking one takes you into your organization's default project and asks it there. Chief reads the same numbers the page shows, so its answers match what you were looking at, and it links the people, projects and resources behind the figures. These questions answer for organization owners.

If you have been keeping your own spreadsheet of credit spend, the Export CSV button replaces it. Head to your organization's usage page and start from whatever range and filters you already have set.
