Link to one section of a chat answer

Hover any heading in an answer and grab a shareable link that opens right at that section, and highlight-to-share now works in the live session side panel.

Pointing someone at one part of a long answer used to mean sharing the whole chat and telling them where to scroll. Now you can link to the exact section.

Section link on hover

Hover a heading inside a chat answer and a link icon appears next to the heading text. Click it and the share dialog opens with a secret link already anchored to that section, so whoever opens it lands on that heading with the section highlighted.

The icon shows on the top three heading levels and only for you as the owner of the chat. Anyone viewing a shared copy sees the answer without it.

The link covers the heading and the text beneath it up to the next heading of the same level, so a generic heading like "Summary" points at the right section instead of the first match in the thread.

Highlight sharing in the side panel

When you opened a live session from a task, its chat runs in the right-side panel. Highlighting text there and choosing Share cleared the highlight and shared nothing. Selecting text in that panel now opens the share dialog linked to the passage you picked, the same as in a full-page chat.

Open a long answer, hover a heading, and send someone the part that matters.
