Type a search query without losing focus

You type a few letters into search, the page blanks, and your cursor is gone. You start editing a project name, click New task, and the edit vanishes. Those moments are fixed.

Search that keeps your cursor

Typing in search used to blank the content pane and knock focus out of the input, so a query longer than one character was close to impossible. The search box now stays put and keeps focus while results load, and the Tasks and Files headings stay in place with their counts filling in as results arrive.

A steady chat view on resize

Resizing your browser window, or a brief pause while a chat rendered, could drop you onto the full app loading screen and lose your place in the conversation. The chat now holds its scroll position through those moments, so you come back to the same spot.

Unsaved project details

Editing a project name or description and then starting a new task or sending a prompt used to discard your edits without a word. Chief now shows you an Unsaved changes dialog with Save, Don't save, and Cancel, so you choose what happens before the action continues.

Prompt drafts in the Create an Action modal

Writing a prompt in the Create an Action modal and then opening the Output section could wipe your text or swap in something from an earlier attempt, most often in a project with no actions yet. Your draft now stays exactly as you typed it, and closing the modal returns focus to the button you opened it from.

Open search and type a full sentence, or start an action and move between its sections. Your work stays where you left it.
