Edit a document or canvas with others without freezing
Simultaneous edits on a shared document or canvas now keep flowing instead of stalling and dropping text or cursor positions.
You and a teammate type into the same document, and the page stops moving. Text you already typed vanishes from the other side, and the only way back was to close the document and reopen it. That no longer happens.
Simultaneous edits on shared documents
When two of you commit changes at the same moment, Chief used to treat the normal overlap as a missing edit and force everyone in the document to resync. Your edits now settle in order on their own, and both of you keep typing without interruption. Exports and anything reading the document wait until the full picture is in place, so a partial version never gets published.
Live text and cursors after a reconnect
After a resync, the desktop app kept holding the old connection open and quietly threw away text and cursor updates for as long as ten minutes. Chief now ends the old connection right away and the app reconnects, so edits and cursors reappear in seconds.
Credits refreshing mid-session
When your credits refilled during a session, the app sat waiting on the credit update instead of moving on. The refill now registers immediately and the session continues.
Shared documents and canvases hold up under concurrent editing, so you can leave a doc open alongside a teammate and keep working in it.
