Edit live documents and canvases together in a session
Docs and canvases in a live session now update for everyone as they are typed, with comments anchored to the text, reviewable edits from Chief, and exports when you are done.
You used to leave a live session with notes scattered across separate tools, and only one person could hold the pen at a time. Documents and canvases now live inside the session itself, open to everyone who has access.
Shared editing in the session
Open a document or canvas from a live session and start typing or drawing. Anyone else with access sees your changes as you make them, and you see theirs, with each person's presence shown as they work. If two of you edit the same spot, both edits survive rather than one overwriting the other.
Work offline for a stretch and your edits merge back in when you reconnect.
Chief edits you review
Chief writes into the same document you do. Its edits arrive as suggestions you can read through and accept or reject, so nothing lands in the text without you seeing it first.
Comments anchored to the text
Leave a comment on a specific passage and it stays attached to that passage as the document changes around it. Replies thread underneath, so a discussion about one paragraph stays with that paragraph.
Access and sharing per document
Each document and canvas carries its own access settings. Share one with a colleague without opening up the rest of the session, rename it, or remove it, and Chief keeps those changes separate from the content itself.
Images you paste stay private to the people who can already open the document.
Exports
When a document is ready to leave the session, export it and take it wherever you need it.
