Get ghost-text autocomplete in the prompt bar
Start typing in the prompt bar and Chief suggests the rest of the line, drawn from your own chats, saved prompts, and memory. Auto mode also picks its model faster.
You know roughly what you want to ask, and you type it out again in some slightly different form than last time. The prompt bar now finishes the thought for you.
Ghost-text completions
As you type in the prompt bar, a suggested continuation appears in grey ahead of your cursor. Accept it and it becomes part of your prompt, or keep typing and it steps out of the way.
The suggestions come from your own material: past chats, saved prompts, and memory. Chief checks a completion for quality before showing it, so the strip stays empty rather than offering you something off-base.
Pro and above
Autocomplete is available on Pro plans and above. On the Free plan you see an upgrade option in the suggestion strip instead.
Faster Auto mode
Auto mode used to take a noticeable moment to decide which mode fit your prompt. That choice now happens quicker, so your message starts moving sooner after you hit send.
Open a chat and start typing. If nothing appears yet, keep going: the more history Chief has from you, the more useful the suggestions get.
