Open a generated artifact from its card in the desktop app

Clicking a generated artifact card in the Chief desktop app now opens the artifact itself, and skills and personas built by the assistant no longer break the content viewer.

When the assistant generated an artifact in a chat, the card underneath it invited you to click through for the full view. In the Chief desktop app that click went nowhere, and some generated content took down the viewer entirely.

Artifact cards that open

Click a generated artifact card in the desktop app and Chief opens the artifact's chat page in your browser, with the side panel already pointed at that artifact. In the web app the card still opens the extended pane as before.

If a card has nothing to open behind it, it no longer looks clickable, so you are not left tapping a dead target.

Skills and personas in the viewer

Opening a skill or persona the assistant built used to crash the content viewer. You now get the full view, with save actions and citations resolving against the chat the content came from.

Full artifact view instead of an empty panel

A generated artifact opened from a card used to land on a panel reading "No content available". You now see the artifact rendered in its own viewer, scrolling on its own, with the option to add it to your knowledge.

Generated content in the desktop app is now one click away from the card that announces it.
