Keep your draft prompt when an update lands
Chief now waits for a pause before applying an update, so a new release never wipes out the prompt you were typing or a reply in progress.
You are halfway through writing a prompt, or watching an answer stream in, and the page reloads itself. Your text is gone and you start again. That happened whenever a new version of Chief went out while you had a tab open.
Updates that wait for you
Chief now holds a pending update until you are between things. If you are typing, have unsent text sitting in the prompt bar, or an answer is still streaming, the page stays exactly where it is. The update applies once you step away or the answer finishes.
The refresh button in the sidebar
When an update is ready and you are busy, you get the green refresh button in the sidebar instead of a surprise reload. Click it whenever suits you.
Your draft survives the reload
Unsent text in the prompt bar is saved before the page reloads, whether you click the refresh button yourself or Chief applies the update once you are idle. Come back and the prompt is still there, ready to send.
You can leave a tab open all day now and pick up the latest version on your own schedule.
