See how many memories an import saved
Importing memories now confirms the exact number saved, and a compressed memory turns up in search right after you confirm it.
You paste a block of text into the memory import panel, confirm it, and want to know the import landed. Two parts of the memory workflow now tell you that.
Import confirmation count
The import panel used to close on its own without showing a result, so you had no confirmation of the number saved. Confirming an import now keeps the panel open and shows how many memories were written, with "1 memory item" for a single entry instead of "1 memory items".
Use "Import More" to go back to the paste box, or cancel to close the panel.
Compressed memories in search
Compressing memories could leave the new combined memory out of semantic search, so asking about something you had just compressed turned up nothing. The compressed memory is now indexed once it is saved, and it shows up in search alongside the rest.
Compression also refuses a mismatch now: if you try to compress an organization memory from your personal memories, Chief stops and tells you the scopes do not match, rather than archiving the originals for the whole organization.
