Open a finished live session in the Chief app
Completed sessions now carry an Open in Chief app button, keep their real name in the header, and stay readable when you view them next to a task.
You finish a live session, open it later on the web, and want the recording in front of you in the Chief app. Until now the button that would take you there vanished the moment the session ended, and you had to hunt for the session in the app sidebar instead.
Open in Chief app on finished sessions
The Open in Chief app button now stays on the session page after the session is over. Click it and Chief opens the finished recording straight into its past-session view, with the transcript, summary and chats attached.
If you are not signed in to Chief yet, or you have not granted capture permissions, Chief tells you what it needs and opens the session as soon as you are through. If a recording is running, Chief asks you to end it first.
Session titles that stick
A session started from a device used to show as "Untitled session" on the web while it ran, and the header dropped back to the words "Live Session" once you stopped recording, even though the transcript and summary were still on screen.
The name Chief works out from your session brief now reaches web viewers while the session is live, and the header holds onto the session name after you stop. Once the summary is written, the header and the sidebar row show the same name. A session you named yourself, or one that came from a calendar entry, keeps that name.
Readable layout beside a task
Opening a live session next to a task or chat used to squeeze the summary into a strip a couple of words wide. The session view now stacks into a single readable column when the panel is narrow and returns to two columns when you give it room.
Open any past session from the web and you land in the Chief app with the right recording and the right name on it.
