EnhancementLive Sessions2 fixes

Live Session app v1.1.52: Ask Chief about Chief itself during a live session

Chief keeps suggesting through a long call instead of going quiet partway in, and now answers questions about itself, questions put to one person that go unanswered, and hedged claims a source can settle, removing its own placeholder card when it finds nothing. Linear comment offers now read "Comment in Linear", and turning an offer down with "Not now" clears its "New" label.

Live Session app v1.1.52: Ask Chief about Chief itself during a live session

In a long call, Chief could stop suggesting partway through, and a question about Chief itself, such as which systems it reads or which version you run, got no card at all.

Today, we're adding answers about Chief, a person, or a hedged claim, along with fixes to Linear comment offers and the "New" label in Activity.

Answers about Chief

Chief used to stop putting up suggestions partway through a long call. It now keeps suggesting for the whole session, and pauses only when your credit balance runs out.

Ask what Chief can see or do, which systems it reads, or which version is running, and Chief answers with a card, even when someone on the call already offered an answer. If the session does not cover it, Chief reads its own documentation at chief.bot and cites the page. A question asked as a demo, to see what Chief does, gets an answer too.

A factual question put to one person on the call now gets a card if that person does not know, guesses, or the talk moves on. A claim someone states unsure of, such as "I assume Chief is using Notion as me", gets a card if a source can settle it.

If Chief finds nothing for a question put to one person or for an unsure claim, its "Looking this up" card disappears from Activity on every device, with no "Couldn't find an answer" row left behind. A question put to the whole call still ends as not found.

Fixes

  • An offer to post a comment on an existing Linear issue read "Add in Linear". The button now reads "Comment in Linear" in Activity, in the "Edit before sending" dialog and on the notch card, and the finished row reads "Commented in Linear". Offers made before this update keep "Add in Linear".
  • An Activity offer you turned down with "Not now" kept its "New" label. The label now clears, and the offer leaves the unseen count on that device. Offers accepted, withdrawn or decided on another device still count until you open them.

Update to 1.1.52 and ask Chief what it can see in your next session. Using the Live Sessions App covers what Chief does during a call.
