Live Session app v1.1.50: See the newest live insights the moment they're ready
Live insights and answers to spoken questions now show as soon as they're ready instead of waiting behind older cards, and a question Chief has to look up gets a card in Activity right away that fills in when the answer lands. Fixes cover phone recordings reading "Speaker N" on the Mac, the earlier transcript staying visible after you resume an ended session, and the guest Leave button in the notch.
During a live session, a fresh insight or the answer to a question someone asked out loud could sit behind older cards and arrive minutes after the moment it was about. One slow lookup could also hold up every question asked after it.
Today, we're showing the newest live insights first, along with fixes for speaker labels on phone recordings, the transcript after resuming an ended session, and the guest Leave button in the notch.
Newest insights first
Chief now shows the newest ready answer or insight right away. A card that has waited too long goes away on its original schedule, and older results stay in Activity. Prompts about the call still come first.
A card you are pointing at or have selected with the keyboard stays put, so a newer card cannot take the click meant for it. An answer you asked Chief for keeps its place above insights Chief offered on its own, and a card you reopen from the waiting count shows even while you hold the current one.
Questions no longer wait for each other. Chief starts looking into each question as soon as it hears it, so one slow search does not delay the next answer.
A question asked out loud that Chief cannot answer at once gets a card in Activity right away, such as "Looking this up" or "Gathering ideas", and the notch names what Chief is looking into. Chief then fills that card with the answer and shows it, or marks it "Couldn’t find an answer" or "Couldn’t finish looking this up".
Two questions about the same thing asked a few seconds apart can each get their own card.
Fixes
- Sessions recorded on the phone showed "Unknown speaker" for every line on the Mac. The Mac now labels those lines "Speaker 1", "Speaker 2" and so on, matching the phone and the web.
- Resuming an ended live session hid the transcript recorded before it ended. The earlier transcript now stays in the transcript panel, and it also appears when your device takes over hosting a session already in progress.
- As a guest, the Leave button in the notch could show the word "Button" after you armed it and let it reset, and the chat row in the notch had an extra close button. Leave now returns to its x, and the chat row starts with @Chief.
