FeatureLive Sessions2 fixes

Live Session app v1.1.48: Merge two speakers who are the same person

You can now tell Chief that two speakers in a meeting are the same person and, if you choose, combine their voiceprints for future calls. Chief also speaks up on its own whenever suggestions are on, with live answers arriving several seconds sooner, a Join row on a session that already ended now opens it, and the collapsed session tab on a screen without a notch stops covering the timer.

Live Session app v1.1.48: Merge two speakers who are the same person

Chief sometimes splits one person into two speakers in a transcript, and until now you could only rename each one separately, leaving the same voice listed twice.

Today, we're adding speaker merging, along with Chief speaking up on its own with faster live answers, plus fixes for stale Join rows and the session tab on screens without a notch.

Merge speakers

Merge speakers

Click a speaker's name in the transcript and the picker now opens with an In this meeting group at the top. Each entry reads "Same as" followed by another speaker from the call, and picking one folds the two into a single speaker in this meeting.

If the voice you are renaming already has a name and you pick a different named person, Chief asks whether to also combine the old name's voiceprint into the new one. Choose Only this meeting to fix the transcript alone, or Combine so future calls recognize them as one person.

Combining voiceprints cannot be undone. Pick Combine only when the two names are the same person.

Chief speaks up unprompted

Chief speaks up unprompted

Chief now adds cards on its own during a live session whenever suggestions are on, looking up what the conversation seems to be missing. The separate Speak up unprompted toggle is gone from Settings.

Live answers also arrive several seconds sooner than in the previous build.

Speaking up uses credits while the call runs.

Fixes

  • Clicking a Join row in Recent Live Sessions for a session that had already ended did nothing. Chief now opens that session as a past session.
  • On an external monitor without a notch, the collapsed session tab could cover the timer with the suggestion count, level bars and attendees. The tab now widens so both sides stay readable.

A stale Join row far down the list, past the first page, still shows an error instead of opening.

Update to 1.1.48 and click a speaker's name in your next transcript to try it. How transcription works & speaker attribution covers how Chief tells voices apart.
