Live Session app v1.1.44: See who said what more accurately in your transcripts
Chief now revisits who said each line as a meeting goes on and again when it ends, fixes speaker labels in your app and for everyone watching, gives half-sentences to the person who started them, and labels lines it cannot place yet as "Unknown speaker" with an explanation. Moving a session while one of its chats' videos is still rendering now asks you to wait rather than losing the video.

During a meeting, a short opener could land on the wrong person, one speaker could show up as two, and the far side of the call read "Them" until Chief worked out who was talking.
Today, we're improving speaker labels in the transcript, along with a fix for moving a session while a video is rendering.
More accurate speaker labels
Chief now looks back over the whole meeting as it goes and once more when it ends, and corrects who said each line. It joins two voices that turn out to be the same person, places short lines it could not place the first time, and gives someone who only said short things like "yeah" or "agreed" a voice of their own once it has heard enough. Names you typed in stay put, and speaker numbers hold steady as much as possible.
Labels on lines already in the transcript can change while you watch. The corrections reach the web page and anyone else watching the session too, and a row that had joined two people's lines splits into two.
Short openers like "And it's based on..." now go to the person who said them, so one person no longer appears as two. A sentence that breaks across two lines keeps its trailing piece with the line before it, and that piece follows along if you rename the speaker later.
Lines from someone Chief has not recognized yet now read Unknown speaker in place of "Them". Click the label and Chief explains that it needs some clear audio from a person before it can tell who they are, and that these lines update on their own once it has heard enough. Downloads, the shared page and the AI summaries use the same label.
Chief saves a voice for future meetings only when someone named it or it matched a voice that already has a name.
To keep the whole meeting available for these corrections, Chief holds the session's audio in an encrypted file only that session can read, and deletes it when the session ends.
Fixes
- Moving a session to another project while a video from one of its chats was still rendering lost the video, and its card sat on rendering before turning to failed. Chief now refuses the move with a message asking you to try again once the video has finished.
