Live Session app v1.1.33: Collaborate on a session without joining the project
Anyone signed in can join a live session through a Collaborator link and work in its shared documents without project membership, and session documents now choose between Shared with session and Only me; screenshots, pasted images and Chief-generated images get an Add to canvas menu that places them on any canvas in the session or a new one.
Bringing someone into a live session used to mean adding them to the whole project, with its knowledge and every other conversation, so they could help with one call.
Today, we're adding session collaboration without project access, along with an Add to canvas menu on transcript and generated images.
Session collaboration without project access
Sign in and open a Collaborator link, and you join that one live session and can edit its shared documents, canvases and comments. Joining the session gives you nothing else in the project: its other sessions, its roles and its knowledge stay out of reach.
A document or canvas you make in a session now offers two choices: Shared with session, which lets everyone in the session open it and lets Readers see it in the browser, and Only me, which keeps it to you. A document still on an older project-wide level shows that level with a Share with session button. Everyone in the session shares the Live Summary, and nobody can delete it.
In Settings, an agent can now have no spoken names at all, which turns off spoken requests to it; for Chief, the Live summary stays on.
The organization audit log records when someone joins a session through a collaboration link and when their access ends because the owner turned the link off, made it view-only, or deleted the session.
Opening the session in the app requires signing in. Reader links stay view-only in the browser.
Add to canvas from images
Screenshots and pasted images in the transcript, and images Chief generates in chat, now have an Add to canvas menu. Pick any canvas in the session, or New canvas, and Chief opens it and places a copy of the image in the middle of your view, next to what is already there. The original stays in the transcript.
The menu lists only canvases you can edit, and it does not appear if you cannot edit documents in the session.
Update to 1.1.33 and send a Collaborator link from your next session. Documents and canvases in a Live Session covers sharing and canvases, and Sharing and joining a Live Session covers the links.
