Live Session app v1.1.24: Double-click the top bar to fill the screen

Resizing the Chief window meant dragging its corners, and the green button was no help because it throws the window onto its own Space. Tabs that ran past the edge of the summary column gave no sign there were more. This build takes care of both, and adds a way to carry an agent ask into your own terminal.

Window and tab strip

Double-click the thin strip at the very top of the window, where the traffic lights sit, and the window expands to fill the screen. Double-click again to put it back where it was. The gesture works on that top strip, not on the header row below it with the logo, project name and session title.

Summary tabs now show a thin bar under the tab row when more tabs sit past the visible edge, so you can tell there is more to scroll to. The bar stays hidden when all the tabs fit, and every tab strip in the app behaves the same way.

Agent asks in your terminal

Pick an agent in the send-to-agent menu and you can choose "Run it in my terminal". Chief opens Claude or Codex in the terminal app you actually use, with your ask as the opening message, and you carry the conversation on from there. The option appears only for an agent whose command-line tool is installed on your Mac and can be handed a prompt.

Chief sees nothing after the handover. The live session records that the agent was addressed, and nothing more comes back. Bear in mind that an agent running in your terminal works in the folder you picked under your own permissions rather than in Chief's throwaway copy, though both tools still ask before they edit a file.

Activity and to-dos

An offer card now carries a "View to-do" button that opens the summary on the matching row, and an accepted to-do carries a "View activity" button that goes the other way. The row you land on lights up for a moment so your eye finds it.

The activity list marks which entries lead somewhere: a chat icon where a thread exists behind the row, a to-do badge where the row stands for a to-do, and nothing on the rest. Citations and work strips you could never click have stopped looking clickable.

Fixes

Accepting an offer could leave two copies of the same to-do in the summary, one in Chief's words and one in the room's. Chief now folds the duplicate into the offer's own row and keeps the chat hanging off it. Both rows can still show for a moment before they merge.

The recent Live Sessions list used to park a raw error code on screen after a brief connection problem, and it stayed there until you refreshed by hand. The automatic loads now retry on their own and the error only appears once the retries are spent. The refresh button still makes a single attempt so you get instant feedback.

After a transcript upload, the summary panel sat empty with no sign anything was happening. You now see a spinner and "Analyzing transcript…" while the summary builds, and it clears once the summary is there.

The Live Session chat prompt talked only about "this session" when it can also draw on the surrounding project. The placeholder now reads "Ask Chief anything about this project or session…".

The Live badge next to an in-progress session in the sidebar was brand blue while the rest of Chief used red. It now shows the same pulsing red dot and title-case Live as the other live indicators.

Edits made while several people work on the same document also stop going missing under heavy load. A document that misses an update rebuilds itself instead of drifting out of date for minutes, and cursors move without the extra work they used to cost.
