Live Session app v1.1.2: Open a prepped session from your Notion meeting page
A new meeting page in your Notion meetings database can carry a link that opens a prepped live session in Chief with the meeting context loaded, and the summary and transcript go back to that page when the session ends. The Summary panel and the after-session card both link back to the Notion page.
Your meeting notes live in a Notion database, and until now you opened Chief separately, typed the context in by hand and copied the summary back into Notion after the call.
Today, we're adding Notion meeting pages that open in Chief, with meeting context loaded, a link back to Notion during the call and afterward, and the outcome written to the page when you finish.
Sessions from Notion pages
Create a page in your Notion meetings database and Chief researches the meeting and adds an "Open live session" link to the page. Click it and Chief opens straight into the session, with the title and the researched context already filled in. Shortly before the call, Chief refreshes that context.
During the session, a Synced with Notion button sits above Context in the Summary panel and opens the meeting page. After the session ends, the card that appears offers Open Notion meeting page, and Chief writes the summary and a collapsed transcript back to the page.
If Chief still needs microphone or system audio permission, the link opens the permissions screen first. If the session cannot open, Chief shows the reason in a message at the bottom of the window.
You set this up in the web app on your project's Actions page, where a banner offers Enable flow and then Add outcome action. Share the meetings database with the Notion integration and sync it to the project first.
Update the app, create a page in your meetings database and click its link. Notion covers connecting and syncing your pages.
