Live Session app v1.0.2: Read your session summary without leaving the app
Chief now shows the post-session summary and action items inside the app, and answers in chat carry numbered citations you can click through to the source. Pairing, onboarding and transcription reliability all get fixes.
Until now, stopping a session meant opening the web app to see what Chief made of it, and an answer in chat gave you no way to check where a claim came from.
Session summary in the app
Stop a session and the summary panel appears in the app with the writeup and action items. Chief shows a spinner while the summary is still being written, then fills the panel in as soon as it lands. A link takes you to the session page on the web when you want the full record.
Citations in chat answers
Answers now carry numbered citation markers. Click one to see the cited passage along with the source document's title and file name, and open or download the source file from there. Chief highlights the cited text inside the document, and for spreadsheets and other files without a readable text version, it shows the cited passage directly.
While an answer streams in, you no longer see raw reference tags flash through the text before it settles.
Pairing and onboarding
The pairing screen showed the code box and the Connect button before you had a code, which made "Get Pairing Code" look like the button that finished the job. Chief now shows only "Get Pairing Code" first, then reveals the code box and Connect once you have gone to fetch one. Returning to pairing after signing out clears any stale code.
If you already granted microphone and system audio access, Chief skips the permissions screen and takes you straight to pairing.
Fixes
The session timer drifted behind when your machine slept or the window sat in the background. It now tracks real elapsed time and corrects itself.
If the transcription connection dropped mid-session, the rest of the session went untranscribed. Chief now reconnects on its own and picks the transcript back up.
The transcript and suggestions panels said "Waiting for speech..." and "Listening..." with a "0" counter sitting above the empty state. The copy now tells you suggestions build as the conversation goes and that the first few take a moment, and the empty count is gone.
Install this build to get the summary panel and citations, plus a session that keeps transcribing through a network hiccup.
