Sign up before any memory change on the settings page
Every control that changes a memory now asks you to create an account first, so nothing gets written from a guest session by accident.
Chief pulls memories out of your chats even before you create an account. On the memory settings page, the main list asked you to sign up before writing anything, but five other controls went straight through.
Memory health controls
Archiving or deleting a memory under Memory health used to go through on a guest session, even after the same memory in the main list had shown you the sign-up prompt. Both buttons now bring up the sign-up prompt, and the memory stays where it is until you have an account.
Archived memories list
Restore and permanent delete in the archived list behaved the same way. You now see the sign-up prompt when you click either one, so an archived memory cannot be brought back or destroyed from a guest session.
Compress
Compress starts building its preview the moment the modal opens. Chief asks you to sign up before the modal opens at all, so no compression work runs against a guest session.
If you already have an account, none of this changes what you click. As a guest, your extracted memories stay intact until you sign up and decide what to do with them.
