Search a whole live session with Cmd+F
A find bar now searches every panel of a live session at once, counts the matches, and steps you through them.
You had no way to search a live session. In the desktop app, Cmd+F did nothing. On the web, the browser's own find reached only the text already on screen, so anything tucked inside a collapsed section stayed hidden.
Session-wide find bar
Press Cmd+F inside a live session and a find bar opens above the panels. Type a query and Chief highlights the matches across the transcript, the summary, and the other panels at once, not only in the panel you happen to be looking at.
Matching ignores case, and a phrase still matches when it runs across bold or linked text in the middle of a sentence.
Stepping through matches
The bar shows which match you are on and how many there are. Press Enter for the next one, Shift+Enter for the previous, or use the up and down arrows in the bar. Escape closes it. When nothing matches, the bar tells you so instead of leaving you guessing.
Collapsed summary sections included
Summary sections you have collapsed used to hide their text from any search. While a query is running, Chief opens them so their contents are searched and highlighted along with everything else.
Search button in the session header
The keyboard shortcut was the only way in, which meant you had to know it existed. A search button now sits in the session header next to the share and export controls, and clicking it opens the same bar.
