Get billing emails, addressed reply drafts, and working unsubscribe
Billing notices from Chief now land in your inbox with a working link, action reply drafts arrive with the recipient filled in, and your mail app's Unsubscribe button takes effect.
Email from Chief has been quietly falling short in three places: a declined card produced an in-app notice but no email, an action reply draft opened in Gmail with a blank recipient, and pressing Unsubscribe in your mail app changed nothing. All three are fixed.
Billing notification emails
When your card is declined, your subscription is cancelled or downgraded, or your trial is about to end, you get the email that goes with the in-app notification. The link in it takes you straight to your billing page.
Addressed reply drafts
An action that drafts an email reply used to leave the recipient field empty, so you had to work out who it was for before sending. Chief now fills the recipient in from the message being replied to. A plain reply goes to the original sender, and a reply-all covers everyone on the thread, minus your own address and any duplicates. If Chief cannot work out a recipient, it tells you instead of saving a blank draft.
One-click unsubscribe
The Unsubscribe button that Gmail and Apple Mail put at the top of an action email told you it worked and then kept the emails coming. Pressing it now removes you from those emails, and pressing it a second time reports success rather than an error.
All of this takes effect on the emails you receive from here on, with nothing to turn on.
