Mention Chief in a Slack channel or DM him to get an answer
Chief now answers in Slack. Mention him in a channel or send him a direct message, and he replies in the thread using the project that channel is tied to.
Until now, Slack was a one way street: Chief could post into your channels, but asking him something meant leaving Slack and opening the web app. That round trip is gone.
Mentions and direct messages
Mention Chief in a channel or send him a direct message, and he answers in the thread. Chief matches your Slack account to your Chief account by email and works with the same access you already have, so he sees what you can see and nothing more.
A thread stays attached to the chat it started, so your follow up question does not need another mention. A reaction on your message tells you where things stand: eyes while Chief works, then a check when he answers, or a warning if something blocked him.
Channel to project routing
On the Slack integration screen, pick which channels belong to which project. Each channel feeds one project, and if you try to bind a channel that already belongs elsewhere, Chief asks whether you want to move it instead of silently overwriting.
Direct messages use your own default project, so a question you ask in a DM lands in the right place without any setup per conversation. Private channels work once you invite Chief into them.
Confirmation cards for writes
When your question leads Chief toward changing something, he posts a confirm card in the thread and waits for your answer rather than stopping without a word. You approve or decline right there in Slack.
Request URLs and signing secret
The setup panel gives you the two request URLs to paste into your Slack app, plus a copyable manifest that fills both in for you. Add your signing secret first, since Slack checks the URL the moment you save it, and Chief rejects any delivery he cannot verify.
Once your first event arrives, the panel confirms Chief is receiving events from Slack. If nothing has come through yet, it tells you to add the URLs and reinstall the app.
Name each integration in the app name field so a workspace with several of them stays easy to tell apart when someone types an @ mention.
